This place has gone downhill. Food is either cold or has ran out. There is absolutely no customer service, the women give you a huge attitude. The prices have gone up and the portions have been diminished but the price stays the same. We've tried to give chance after chance but after tonight we had it when the food was cold when I got home and I live 2 minutes away. Never coming back. The cacao sucks compared to other Nica places. The one in Flagler is DEFINITELY much better than this. Worth the drive.

Not only they have increased their prices: but their attitude as well. The service is the worst, The women working there don't know the meaning of customer service or being courteous. I walked in at 8 PM on a Saturday night and their menu was half gone. When i tried to order something the One dispatching the food tells me with an attitude that they will have to cook it as in i'm being an inconvenience for them. All these Fritanga Monimbo lack good service and have the worst and most rude people working there. Definitely try to avoid and go to another Fritanga that doesn't have the name "Monimbo" on it.

We've been coming to this spot for over a decade. The pros are that the food selection is always consistent, portions are huge and prices are reasonable. Taste is relatively good. We prefer the Gallo Pinto, Pollo Empanizado, Filete de Pescado and Jalapeño Carne. They accompany any of the meals with the a Nica salad, which is always good.
The cons are that service usually isn't very friendly, atmosphere is virtually non-existent and the food choices are always the same. Additionally if you get there too late, there won't be much stuff left.
Still, overall not a bad choice for a quick and cheap bite of Nica food to eat. -

Solid place all around. Food is consistently good. You don't go to this place for fine dining. But it's where you go for some good home style cooking. It's a walk up counter order kind of place that's at least 4 people deep every time went, so staff can be a bit rushed. They were always pleasant.
